This undergraduate program was fundamental in laying the foundations for the study of sociology, economics, and politics. Specifically, I successfully completed exams in three courses of Economics, one in sociology of organized crime (which I later explored in my thesis), five in history, including the history of journalism. Additionally, I took several political science courses, including Analysis of Foreign Policy, Public Policy, and Constitutional Law
I consider my undergraduate thesis to be my best work to date. Titled "The 'ndrangheta in the Province of Asti. Control of the territory and infiltration into the economy" it consists of about a year of work on the mafia case in Asti and its province. Here the local 'Ndrangheta was dismantled during the "Operation Barbarossa" in 2018. Through document analysis, presence during the trial against the accused, and ten anonymous interviews conducted in the Asti area with Carabinieri, politicians, journalists, and ordinary citizens, I reconstructed the social and political environment in which the local 'ndrangheta sought to impose its command by force
CORPORATE AND POLITICAL COMMUNICATION
Throughout this degree program, I continued to delve into the principles of electoral campaigns and political discourse, expanding my focus to include digital media, corporate communication, and marketing. I completed several group projects, including the design of a website and a proposal for the revitalization of a neighborhood in Turin, alongside individual projects such as a marketing plan for promoting a niche of the wine Moscato d'Asti Docg
In continuity with my studies at the Ecole Normale Supérieure and the two years of my Master's program, I completed my thesis, "Analysis of the European Union's communication during the pandemic: strategies, institutions, and media in Europe). I examined how the EU communicated during the Covid-19 pandemic, analysing the main frames used by the European Commission in its press releases and on Social Networks during the vaccine campaign against Covid and the AstraZeneca case. I then studied how much of this strategy influenced newspapers in Europe by analysing articles published by Politico.eu, Euractiv, Euronews, and five other Italian publications
